Continuing to push the limits of materials and design, Candide's multi-award winning signiture collection contains some of the most durable park and all-mountain skis around, together with the lightest high-performance freeride and backcountry skis possible. New for 2015/16, the Candide 3.0 freeride twin is completely redesigned from the ground up, with increased sidecut, reduced taper and a new smoother camberline to make the ski more playful and easier to ski in all conditions.
"without a doubt, these are the best skis i have ever ridden on."
Candide Thovex literally needs no introduction. The legendary frenchman has done it all - from winning X Games Gold to the Freeride World Tour, and his One of Those Days video gone on to notch up 17 million views (and still counting). There is no terrain or environment where he isn't completely at ease on skis. When we first sat down together in 2012 we took the opportunity to start with a completely clean slate and asked Candide what his ideal quiver would be. It started with the 1.0 and the 3.0, and slowly we've built up to the lineup you see here today.
Working with someone who is so accomplished in so many disciplines has let us focus with razor-sharp precision on that specific discipline to create skis that are uncompromising in their performance. From the ultra-durable 2.5mm edges and carbon reinforcing on the 1.0 and 2.0, through to the first-of-its-kind lightweight hybrid balsa-flax cores on the 3.0 and 4.0, no corners are cut. Surprisingly, each ski is much more versatile than even we set out to achieve - you'll find our park riders and their mums on the 2.0 having just as much fun.
All skis in Candide's range benefit from custom matte finish topsheets, new anti-chip micro caps to protect against scratches and bruises, die cut ptex 4000 grade bases, and flexes and camberlines tuned exactly to each skis chosen discipline. All skis also come with a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
